My Students

I spend my day teaching math and science to two classes of third graders. My students come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds. Despite the challenges and obstacles my students may face they come to school everyday eager to learn.

My third grade class is full of inquisitive learners in need of technology.

My Project

Our current classroom desktop computers are 12 years old and prevent students from accessing many applications. The Fire tablets will provide my students with 21st century technology.

These Fire tablets will make a difference in my students' learning by allowing them to independently work on skills that focus on their specific learning goals in math and science.

The tablets will only be used at school. In addition to independent work students will be able to display their screens on the classroom Active panel, participate in digital games, quizzes, and many other formative assessments. They can research projects and go on virtual field trips from their classroom desk.
