Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I often get students that are in mixed grade levels (9-11) at a gifted magnet school (LAUSD). Even though they are mixed grade levels, I love that many of them don't mind working with a peer that is at least two years younger or older than them. Even the shy ones eventually become willing to work collaboratively.
My students are hard workers with little technological resources in a technologically dominant era; they are true champions of education in these modern times.
My Project
Can you imagine what a student sees on their end of their computer during a lesson of distance learning? They already have Zoom and various tabs on their own browser open. Now they have to see all the applications and tabs I have open on my computer through zoom.
Teaching distance learning is tough enough as it is on a single computer.
I constantly have many tabs and applications open while trying to provide a quality education to my students. Having two monitors will help me organize my zoom lessons.
