Help me give my students support with dual computer monitor screens for instruction!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. R's classroom raised $164
This project is fully funded
My Students
Even in the time of this pandemic, my students have never felt more eager to participate, engage, and connect with their teachers and classmates. We are still a school of go-getters, technological pioneers, and creative thinkers!
Seeing my students' faces light up with smiles when they log onto their class video call or walk into the classroom is what keeps me inspired to make their learning experiences the very best they can be.
We are a Title I NYC DOE middle school, but more importantly, we are a close-knit community. Students, whether in-person or remote, love staying connected with one another. They thrive on being able to express how they're feeling and contribute their thoughts and ideas in meaningful ways using technology and digital platforms. I want to simply meet them where they're at right now.
My Project
Teachers are master multi-taskers and know how to think on their feet, now more than ever during remote and blended learning. It's a challenge to be embraced, but can it be made easier? Yes! How? With more monitors! Having more monitors will help me conduct ELA lesson plans that help my students master their writing skills, read aloud, annotate notes, and participate in interactive class discussions.
Having two computer monitor screens to teach off of will help me meet my students' needs faster and efficiently, now more than ever during live remote instruction!
With two computer screen monitors, I will be able to effortlessly toggle back and forth between my "teacher view" and "student view" during a lesson. This is essential for teaching platforms that we use daily, such as (but not limited to) Google Classroom, Google Meets, PearDeck, Nearpod, Google Docs, and Google Slides. Moreover, having just received funding from DonorsChoose for a PearDeck Premium subscription, I would be able to have my "Teacher Dashboard" screen on one monitor, while tracking student engagement on a second monitor- providing quick, actionable feedback to students within a matter of seconds! Together, with your support, we can make this happen!
