My Students

I currently teach at a Title I High School in Vancouver, Wa. It is a diverse group of students who are currently trying to navigate this new crazy digital world of online learning. I am currently trying to help students be more successful in a hybrid learning environment. I have students that I teach simultaneously online while supporting them in-person in the classroom as well.

My students are having difficulties transitioning from traditional learning to this new version of hybrid learning.

In trying to support their learning I am trying to utilize a variety of online teaching strategies. This takes a variety of differing supports to help them understand the content, access the materials and collaborate with their peers. Much of this requires many differing tasks that one computer screen makes it very limiting.

My Project

The second computer screen will help me effectively live stream classes while supporting differing teaching strategies to help support student learning. In order to effectively teach a hybrid classroom there are many differing functions that need to be utilized to help connect with students in a digital classroom.

A second computer screen will help create a more dynamic learning experience for a hybrid classroom.

One screen is usually utilized for livestreaming with the students, while the other screen can be utilized to push out content, chat with the students and maintain tasks needed to effectively run a classroom.
