Two Screens for Teachers

Help me give my students a second monitor to help me present and monitor the class at the same time.

My Students

I have five sections of classes totaling around one hundred and fifty students. Minneapolis is a Title One district and we have a large portion of free or reduced price lunch.

I have three sections of Advanced Algebra.

This is a very intense and above grade level class for ninth graders. We are fully distance learning and being able to see everybody is important so I can see questions and check how they are feeling on. We need to try to make as much of a sense of community as possible. Being able to present on one screen and see the class on the other is really important.

I also have a section of more at-risk type students. They need lots of examples and guidance. Making sure students are on task is so important to make this format work. Doing presentations and being able to see the class is really, really important.

Finally, I have a section of senior IB level course. Just being able to see the class helps with understanding. Being able to see them while I present is so important.

My Project

Having two monitors will make this distance learning period so much better. I will be able to present material and have a monitor for seeing the students. Having something big enough for me to see the students on grid view is so important. This monitor will help with this and make it very easy to present and connect with the class at the same time.

This should help improve student engagement and outcomes.

My goal is to make this situation the best possible.
