Twice as Many Whole School Social Emotional Lessons

My Students

Students arrive each day with a love for learning. They give hugs, high fives, and smiles as they arrive and turn in their blue reading folders. Silly, frustrated, excited, sad, calm and peaceful are feelings that flow through their bodies during the day.

Since Covid, our office discipline referrals for aggression have increased.

Students lack basic self regulation and communication skills. We teach social emotional lessons every other week, but we need more.

With more social emotional lessons, books, and activities to choose from, we can build skills to help children be safe, respectful, and responsible citizens.

My Project

The books, workbooks, and puzzle erasers will address the following school counselor content standards.

Specifically, I will use these resources to promote the following standards.

Standard A: Students will acquire the attitudes, knowledge and skills that contribute to effective learning in school and across the life span.

Standard B: Students will complete school with the academic

preparation essential to choose from a wide range of substantial post-secondary options, including college.

STANDARD C: Students will understand the relationship of academics to the world of work and to life at home and in the community
