My Students

My students are lively, enthusiastic, athletic and diverse. Our school population is suburban, all living within walking distance to our school. We have a significant number of military families and those students face unique challenges every day. Like most children, my students have plenty of energy and physical education helps to expend that energy while keeping them healthy and building life long habits. I want my students to enjoy being active and increase their skills in the area of physical education.

My Project

I teach in Florida, the Sunshine State! Despite the cheerful sounding name, there are times that the weather in Florida is anything but pleasant. At the beginning and end of the school year, we deal with extremely high and unsafe temperatures. Throughout the year, we are prone to sudden thunderstorms. These weather events can disrupt the flow of PE class as sometimes we just can't be outside. I am fortunate to have a large building for PE and some great videos with various workouts and exercises for students. Unfortunately, I currently have a small TV that not all students can see well when we exercise.

I am requesting a large TV and a safe stand so that the entire class can easily see our workout videos.

This TV will serve my students well for many years and help us stay active on days when it's not fit to be outside.
