My students are a wonderful group of young adults who are striving to learn as much as possible each day. They all have hopes and dreams of attending college after graduation. For some, they will be the first in their family to attend college. Each day, we work together using critical thinking and STEM skills to work toward their goals. My students have to overcome obstacles each day, yet they don't let any of them get them off track. My school consists of a diverse population, including military-affiliated families; 75% of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch.
My Project
This past school year has been like no other in history, as COVID19 has reshaped the world of learning. But no matter what has been thrown at my students, they have always worked hard to overcome the obstacles and keep striving for success. One obstacle that faces a lot of my students each semester is the lack of basic school supplies and their families ability to get them. I always try to make sure that I have basic supplies on hand for my students in our classroom so that each students has access to an equal education. I am requesting two rolling storage bins and a cooler. The storage bins will be used to store our classroom supplies so that all students can have easy access. The cooler will be used to keep our snacks cool for our after school tutoring program. Education is so important, and I want to instill in my students the value of a good education. With your support, we will be able to help these students continue to work towards their goals and dreams of graduation. Thank you for considering to help my students through this project.
