I have the most special kindergarten students in the world. They are unique, creative, and loving. They love to read, write and do all sorts of projects. They are eager learners and deserve the best education.
Our school is a Title 1 school and over 70% have a free and reduced priced lunch status.
Many of them have their only meals at school. Even with these obstacles, my students work hard to succeed. It is awesome to see how much they grow throughout the year.
Flexible seating allows children to feel more comfortable within the classroom and take charge of their learning by choosing the type of seating that works best for them. When they are comfortable, children listen, and are better engaged in their learning. The wobble chairs, as well as the cushions, will allow them more choice in what works best for them.
Kindergarteners are super wiggly and can't wait to share what they are thinking about.
One of the ways that they share how they are feeling is through creative projects. Bingo markers were a hit in my classroom last year and I can't wait to have more for this year. They provide a great way to make dots as well as independently paint on paper without as much mess as regular paint.
Finally, we always need tape and pens to label and hang the children's amazing work. Children feel so much pride when they see their work hanging up. We need the tough stuff like packing tape to make it work. The Mr. Sketch markers are the best for creating anchor charts with the children. They show up nice and bright and work a lot longer than other markers.
