This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The speaker system will allow my students to clearly share their learning with others whether it’s during a class presentation, a school-wide event, or a community project. Having access to a quality sound system will boost their confidence, support their public speaking skills, and help them take ownership of their ideas. When they present their projects on climate and environmental issues, they’ll not only be learning science they’ll be using their voices to make an impact.

My goal is to create meaningful opportunities for my students to become advocates for the environment.

With a speaker system, they can present their climate research, perform skits, and lead awareness campaigns. I want them to understand that their voices matter and that even as 5th graders, they can help educate and inspire others to take care of our planet.

My students are thoughtful, creative, and full of potential. They care deeply about the world around them and are eager to learn how they can make a difference. Many of them come from under-resourced communities, but that doesn’t stop them from dreaming big and working hard. They are natural leaders, and with the right tools, I know they’ll go on to do great things not just in school, but in the world.
