Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Please help me create a safe, nurturing, and comfortable environment for all my students, as we begin our transition back to in-person learning!
My students come from different cities across the Rio Grande Valley, located in South Texas; most come from low-income families and will be the first in their family to attend college.
Our scholars demonstrated unparalleled tenacity during distance learning last year, and with the beginning of a new school year fast approaching, we need all the support we can get to re-engage our students in the classroom and begin to close any achievement gaps that may have resulted from virtual learning.
My Project
My students will be facing the challenge of transitioning from online learning back to in-person learning. These materials will allow students to return feeling safe, in both physical and emotional health.
These products will help students feel cared for and supported, while also encouraging classroom engagement.
I'm ready to give my students all that I can offer to make this new year their best experience yet! Not only will these materials be used my Algebra 2 classroom on a daily basis, as the Math Department Head and the UIL Academics Coordinator for my campus, the effects of your donation will be far-reaching for our school!
