Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What I love most about my students is their curiosity, resilience, and the unique perspectives they bring into our classroom every day. They come from diverse backgrounds and cultures, and they are eager to learn, share, and grow. But too often, the books they read and the tools they use don’t reflect who they are or who they can become. That’s why this project is so important.
With your support, we’ll bring in equity-focused books that celebrate diverse voices and experiences, helping students see themselves in the stories they read.
We’ll also provide pens and writing tools that empower them to express their thoughts, reflect on what they learn, and share their own stories with pride. These resources will help us build a classroom where representation matters, where every voice is heard, and where students feel safe and inspired to be their full selves.
