My Project
I’m requesting a collection of high-interest independent reading books to support student choice and engagement. These books will span a range of genres and reading levels to meet the needs of all students, from reluctant readers to those ready for a challenge.
Independent reading is key to building vocabulary, comprehension, fluency, and a lifelong love of reading.
When students have access to books they enjoy, they read more—and when they read more, they grow as learners.
This project will help strengthen our classroom library and give students daily access to books they’re excited to read. It supports reading skills we practice in class, like inference, theme, and analysis, in a way that feels personal and meaningful.
