Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

At our K-8 school, we are building something special—next year, we'll welcome our very first 8th grade class as we continue rolling out the middle school model! I love how curious, thoughtful, and capable our students are, and I’m committed to providing them with meaningful learning experiences that challenge and inspire them.

This project will support our seventh and eighth graders through engaging novel studies that strengthen reading comprehension, critical thinking, and classroom discussions.

The two sets of novels will provide high-interest, grade-level texts that students can connect with, while the manila folders will help them stay organized as they take notes, track characters, and respond to prompts. These resources will allow students to take ownership of their learning, collaborate with peers, and grow as confident readers and thinkers.
