This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

There are fifteen three year olds in my classroom and they are from different backgrounds and they also have different linguistic abilities. They are always eager to learn but sometimes it’s a little hard for them to understand certain concepts. Because my students are so young they are always intrigued by new things and topics but also due to their age I need to make topics real and hands on for them to have a better understanding of the topics being discussed. Two of the concepts that are hard for them to understand is the life cycle and personal space.

Having a big, fun and beautiful place to sit such as the butterfly carpet that I'm requesting will help my students have a better understanding about personal space.

I believe that respecting each other is a big part of growing up and learning. The size of the carpet will help each student have sufficient space for them to move and participate during large group times. one of the topics I want to be able to discuss with my students is the life cycle of the butterfly. With the use of the butterfly kit my children will be able to see it for themselves and have a better understanding of the life cycle of the butterfly.

We would really appreciate if you donate to my project I know that my children will love to see for themselves the whole cycle of the butterfly and having a comfortable place where to discuss it would be great.
