My Project

What I love most about my students is their creativity, curiosity, and willingness to learn by doing. They thrive when they can take what we discuss in class and apply it to something that feels real, relevant, and connected to their future. My goal is to give them more opportunities to experience business concepts rather than simply read about them.

The resources in this project will help transform our classroom into a hands-on business and career-readiness lab.

Microsoft 365 reference materials will support students as they build essential workplace technology skills, while labels, gift bags, hooks, hangers, shelving, gridwall displays, and other organization materials will help them practice merchandising, inventory management, product presentation, and retail operations.

Embroidery thread, stabilizer, sublimation paper, thread organizers, and related supplies will allow students to move through the full product-development process, from creating a design to producing a finished item that could be marketed or sold. These experiences will give students practice with entrepreneurship, branding, production, quality control, pricing, customer service, and teamwork.

Even the smaller classroom resources have a purpose. Index cards can support brainstorming, planning, vocabulary, customer profiles, and quick business challenges, while the incentive items can help reinforce participation, teamwork, and positive workplace behaviors.

With these resources, my students will not just learn about business, they will have the opportunity to operate, create, organize, market, and problem-solve like young professionals, building confidence and practical skills they can carry into future courses, jobs, internships, and entrepreneurial opportunities.
