Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Virtual learning doesn't leave out transitional kindergarten. My students show up every day eager to learn and grow. Transitional kindergarten at my elementary school is the place where learning begins. For some students, it is their first time in a school environment and it can be a little scary. We have many English as a Second Language students who come to school excited to learn. We use all our teaching skills to make sure all students are provided with every opportunity to learn. We work to create students whose futures are focused on college and career choices that will enable them to be anything their hearts desire.

My Project

Birthdays are a special day for my transitional kindergarten students. For many, it is their first time in school and is a time for making new friends. In our class, all birthdays fall between September 2 and December 2, so everyone will celebrate a birthday at school!

A birthday party crown, a poster to tell everyone about you, a special cape to wear on their special day, and a goody bag with some special surprises will make my student's day even more special.

Who wouldn't want to be a kid again celebrating their 5th birthday with their friends at school!
