My Students

I have 25 awesome fourth graders. Most of my students come from low-income families. These are hard-working students who just need a few basic items to get ahead in school. They are eager to learn and can't wait to be introduced to new things. They are always so appreciative of any new materials that we bring in or are donated to our classroom. I just want to see them have the same opportunities as every student in the world should.

My Project

My students love to listen to music while they are working. I am also able to introduce them to many different music genres. Music keeps them calm. Listening to music seems to keep students focused and calm while they are working. We have a TV in our room, and the only way that we can all listen to music while we work is to listen to it over the speakers of a laptop computer. This makes it very hard to hear all around the room. If we had this speaker, we could hear it much more easily and enjoy it anywhere in the room.
