Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am the luckiest teacher in the world! My scholars are amazing, creative, and eager to learn. They come into 3rd grade with a drive and a passion to learn that is contagious and inspiring. I am an advocate for their learning and hope to inspire a lifelong sense of curiosity and growth.

My scholars bring a wealth of experiences into the classroom which include struggles and obstacles but also stories of bravery, determination, and perseverance!

I am lucky to be the one to highlight these amazing qualities and inspire them to find their path to success.

I look forward to teaching many more generations and continuing to inspire, challenge, and dream together!

My Project

I have used Flocabulary as part of all my curriculum core subjects. Last year we had a subscription to support online and remote learning, but this year we are all back in person and we no longer have access.

I have missed Flocabulary a lot and know that ALL students will benefit from learning through hip-hop, rap and other genres of music; my students will feel represented and encouraged to learn in an engaging and fun way.

My class will be able to watch, but also create their own lyrics to show their understanding of different concepts- from fractions to food chains and everything in between!
