Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This year I am excited to be in a 2-3 multi-age classroom. My students come from diverse background and each one brings a unique strength to share and make our classroom a true learning hub.
The goal for this year is to know what compassion is, practice compassion, and spread compassion to all that we interact with.
We will be reading the book Wonder by R.J. Palacios and will close read to understand the underlying message of compassion and kindness that the book is drenched with.
I am very excited this year for my students as they learn to use technology to do research on various topics such as Animal Habitat and Adaptations. They will learn about primary sources and secondary sources and how to cite mentor work. Furthermore this year we are launching our new science curriculum - Project Lead The Way, which is a comprehensive curriculum that will prepare my students as they move up the grades.
This year is full of new learning and new beginnings!
My Project
In this fast evolving and technology driven world, my students too are active participants. They use the Chromebook to learn and share what they learn using various learning platforms. A good set of headphones is a necessary accessory in our classroom as we embrace the tech-savvy 21st Century!
High quality headphones will allow my students to TUNE IN to their learning and zone out the excess noise.
These headphones are an important learning tool for my students as they will provide high quality sound from various interactive learning platforms and allow my students to zone out and focus on their learning, while providing comfort on their little ears.
My students will use the headphones during Language Arts to listen to ebooks and during science they will record and share their experiments with their peers. Headphones are a necessity in our classroom and I look forward to my students having them.
