Tuned in and Ready to Learn in Fourth Grade!

Help me give my students my students 30 sets of headphones to help them focus during lessons, testing, and online learning in 4th grade.

My Project

I’m moving from first grade to fourth grade, and while it’s a big shift, I’m so excited to grow with a new group of students. As kids get older, their needs change. They’re becoming more independent, but they still need structure, support, and a classroom that feels safe and welcoming. My goal is to create a space that feels calm, organized, and full of tools that help them focus and feel proud to learn.

The items in this project were chosen with a lot of care.

Headphones will help students concentrate during digital lessons and testing without distractions. Light covers will soften the bright classroom lighting to create a more peaceful atmosphere, especially for students who get overwhelmed by harsh lights. Flexible seating stools will give them the ability to move while staying focused. The rolling carts, pencil dispenser, sharpener, and teacher toolbox will help us stay organized so we can spend more time learning and less time searching for supplies.

I also included magnetic dots for hanging student work and learning materials, which helps make the classroom feel like it belongs to them. A large classroom clock will give students the chance to manage their own time more independently. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will allow me to bring in engaging, age-appropriate resources that support our curriculum and their growth.

More than anything, I want my students to walk into our classroom and feel calm, capable, and cared for. These materials will help create a space where they can focus, feel proud of their environment, and be excited to learn every single day.
