This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my district, we have amazing online programs that help our bilingual students improve their Reading, Math, and Science scores. Unfortunately because of the high poverty, many students are unable to bring headphones of their own.

It is vital students use these online programs to help them become better readers, problem solvers, and scientists!

These programs have the ability to read to them, ask students questions, and are very interactive. However, with a full class and having limited headphones, it can be very noisy. It also can get very distracting and many students cannot concentrate when attempting to use the programs.

If each student had their own pair of headphones, a case (pencil pouch), and an organizer to put it in, it would limit the noise level and increase the actual learning time while on each program. It would even double the purpose of using them for next year's students!

In addition, when students do their state testing that is done on computers, parents would not have to worry about acquiring expensive and non-durable headphones for it.

Thank you for supporting my students by knocking down the barrier to resources that is necessary for their success.
