My Students
When was the last time you saw an 8th grade news anchor?
My students attend a public "turnaround" school in Baltimore City.
As the school's technology teacher, I have a unique opportunity to engage students through the daily use of computers, projectors, digital cameras, and other types of technology. One of our most exciting projects this year has been the middle school newscast. My 8th grade students are learning to write news stories and then produce them through our school's technological resources.
My Project
The four laser pointers requested through this proposal would be used to produce presentations and slideshows throughout each segment of the school news. The laser pointers would make our productions look more professional and would help our students to feel even more motivated.
Keeping middle school students invested in a challenging task can sometimes seem extremely difficult.
However, our news program has students visibly excited to come to class each day. Please help my students to stay engaged and feel even more professional as their skills develop.
