I teach an incredible group of 4th graders who come to school each day eager to learn, explore, and grow. My students have a variety of learning styles and needs, and they thrive when given access to tools that support their focus and independence.
Many of my students use online programs for reading, math, and enrichment activities — and for some, the ability to block out distractions and listen carefully is the key to unlocking their success.
Our classroom is in need of a full set of durable, over-ear headphones so that every student can fully engage with the digital learning tools we use daily.
Currently, students either share headphones, bring their own from home (if possible), or try to work without them — which makes it difficult to focus in a busy classroom. With this project, each student will have access to quality headphones that will help them listen to personalized reading and math lessons, use language-learning tools with clarity, record and listen to their own voices for fluency practice, engage with multimedia science and social studies project, and participate in state and district online assessments.
Having a dedicated set of headphones will create a more inclusive and focused learning environment for all students.
