Tết - Vietnamese New Year

My Project

"Tết" in Vietnamese refers to the Lunar New Year, the most important festival in Vietnamese culture. Our students are always excited to learn about cultures around the world. We live in a rural part of our state and many of our students are not exposed to events and resources offered in large cities. We do have several Asian-American students who would like to help others learn about Asian customs and traditions.

One child in particular is learning Vietnamese and about her heritage; she has asked me to add bilingual books and books about Vietnam to our library collection.

She wants to help lead our annual library activities related to the Lunar New Year. These books will last a long time and will impact many students.
