This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have learned in my many years of teaching that you cannot help a child when their emotions are on high until they calm down. I have been given a great opportunity in my teaching career to help these kids. I am asking for these items such as beanbags, balls and fidget toys so I can create an area for them to find item to calm themselves down so then a teacher can speak to them to try to help them understand the emotion they are feeling and then be able to learn from it.

I feel that if we teach these kids how to understand and control their highs and lows then we will be setting them and our community up for success.

Children want to be loved and understood they just sometimes need help to understand what is going on.
