Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students have different disabilities, ranging from specific learning disabilities to autism. Each student of mine is unique and has their own sense of style, humor, and character.
Math can be a difficult subject, but in our classroom, we practice having a Growth Mindset!
My students work hard and are eager to learn while having a fun and safe environment.
My Project
I always have a treasure box available for my students when they reach an academic or socio-emotional mile stone along with showing kindness. We are also in need of some new calculators since the ones we currently have are no longer working. In our treasure box the students request items like pens, snacks, and candy. I have gone shopping quite a few times, but it does add up after some time. I am hoping this last submission will last us close to the end of the school year. I am excited to continue giving my students their incentives so that they can continue to grow academically and their character as well.
