My Project

Color printing is a powerful asset to today's educators particularly because it's so versatile. My goal is to use color printing for a variety of purposes in the classroom, from visual aids to student handouts and beyond. Each week I make a focus wall for literacy and math skills. The color of the posters make the skills "pop".

The use of color in printed materials has been shown to improve learning outcomes like retention and recall, as well as to lengthen students’ attention spans.

Color engages and inspires students, facilitating the creative and critical thinking that's so important for brainstorming original ideas and developing proficiency in complex subjects.

Most importantly, it can be a tremendous asset for learners of all types, unlocking educational opportunities for everyone. While color improves the educational experience for all students, it can be transformational for students with learning disabilities, such as dyslexia or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Color can be deployed through many methods to make educational materials more accessible to these students, including the practice of reading with color gradients.
