My Students

My creative students have endless energy and an abundance of love for each other and for learning!

I am a second grade teacher of twenty fabulous learners.

They really enjoy working around our classroom. I have flexible seating in my room. I like my students to be able to work freely where they feel most comfortable. Since I break into groups for reading and for math, I would like for my class to be able to work independently around the room using the Fire Tablet. The students would be able to access an abundance of literature, as well as math apps that would work well for their ability. Most students vary in their levels and this Tablet would work well to diversify their learning.

My Project

Using the Fire Tablets in our classroom, my students will be able to read and listen to stories. They will get to interact with apps, use the Tablets for research, virtual field trips, presentations, projects, games and it will save paper! There are many educational apps that they can utilize for many subject areas. The protective cases should be wonderful because the students are only seven and eight years old.

Their love for reading will help translate to other subject areas.

By allowing students to learn with technology, they will increase their academic achievement in all areas.
