My students need updated technology in the form of an Epson document camera and a digital projector to engage in their special education learning goals!
Can I see that? Can you show me that again? What does that look like? We all know that a picture is worth a 1,000 words!
A picture, illustration or visual example is needed by my students!
They are all visual learners!
My students are in special education in the 4th and 5th grades for reading, writing and mathematics.
My students come from ethnically diverse backgrounds and attend public school in an urban setting in Illinois.
My Project
My students in special education are visual learners. They need to be able to SEE directly what we are working on in small groups and as a classroom. Whether we are working on a writing project or a math problem, my students need to be able to see what each student needs to be doing individually.
With a document camera and a digital projector we will be able to put on a large screen exactly what we are working on! From math problems, to read alouds to sharing research on the Internet a document camera and projector will allow my students to SEE and engage in projects.
My students are incredibly motivated to learn.
Since we took our Donors Choose photos they ask me daily if their "computer" has shipped yet!
With a document camera and projector each of my students will be able to better understand and (most of all!) fully engage in their education.
