My students need tripods for their cameras in order to do various projects such as self portraits, still life photography and long exposure photography.

My Students
Help my students have enough tripods to borrow from the school's lending library. We are collecting one piece of equipment at a time.
Not all students at my school have access to photographic equipment due to the widely mixed demographics of the area.
Very few of them have cameras and even fewer students have tripods.
Many of my students do not have the funds to purchase their own equipment. I have an increasing number of students who want to create, but cannot afford to purchase equipment of their own. I am trying to build up our set of equipment, which includes cameras and tripods, that will be available to check out to all students when they take any level photography. These tripods would become part of our lending library.
My Project
My beginning photography students use 35mm film SLR cameras and then students transfer their skills to advanced digital photography. Students learn how to use the cameras properly, handle their images and make silver or digital prints all within the classroom environment. They have several shooting assignments throughout the semester and master their skills with their creative visions.
Occasionally in both beginning and advanced photography, students are asked to take photographs that require the use of a tripod.
Financial means should never be a reason why a student can't take a class.
Photography classes can be expensive with all the materials and equipment that is needed. Many students shy away from signing up for classes like these because of the pressure of finances. Equipment can be the biggest expense. By providing students with a camera and tripod to checkout, many are able to create without a financial burden.
