When I took over the tech department, they'd had a multimedia class... with no cameras. I wasn't sure how they did it, but they did. So I bought some used cameras, and some cheap tripods.
I need sturdy tripods that won't collapse under the weight of the cameras.
Because that's what's happening to the cheap tripods I got. Yes, I made a mistake buying them. False economy and all that.
Sturdy tripods are, unfortunately, more money than I have when I still need to spend my budget on getting more cameras. We only have 4.
It seems like such a small thing, but these tripods don't hold up under basic use. Students can't get camera movement in their movies because it breaks the tripods.
My students come up with such unique movie ideas and have so much fun making them. I love giving them the opportunity to make their films, and to see their work as they improve on their skills. These tripods would make them able to film more effectively.
