Tripods for Cell Phones - Keeping It Steady

Help me give my students the proper equipment to shoot video and pictures using their cell phones. The cell phone tripods are standard camera tripods with special adapters for cell phones.

My Students

My high school students, grades 9 through 12, come from a variety of backgrounds with varying academic levels. Most of the students are from our local community but others come from across the district.

They are tech savvy and creative in my Image Editing, Media Technology and Animation classes.

They love hands-on projects. Since using their cell phones is second nature to them, I want to show them how creative they can be with photos and video that they shoot themselves--to think outside the box. Having the proper equipment will help them see beyond the standard selfies and random videos they normally shoot and that a future awaits them in graphic design, video editing, and much more.

My Project

More and more, teachers are incorporating cell phone use into the classroom. In subject areas like Image Editing, Media Technology, and Animation, cell phones are almost a necessity.

Tripods are also a necessity when teaching students how to use their cell phones professionally, to always try to get a great shot and always shoot more than once and from different angles.

Having a tripod with a cell phone adapter provides that steady shot​ makes it easy to change camera angles and gives them the ability to work independently if needed.

There will always be the need for new equipment and new technology. But something simple, like a cell phone tripod and tripod adapters, will allow students to utilize what they already have (their phones) and creatively improve their video/photo skills at the same time.
