Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in a public school in a Bronx community that has been deeply impacted by COVID-19. This is a low-income Title I school. We have a select group of scholars who have been inducted into our Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society. These students have worked very hard for this honor!

My Project

These tripods will help my students prepare and record themselves for National History Day, Soapbox NYC and also for their Participatory Budget projects. My Bronx students are involved in creating changes in our community, and this tripod will help them really make this possible. Our students compete every year in National History Day, where many of them create a video of themselves. They also will use this tripod to make a video to present ideas to our school community. Our Rho Kappa Honor Society takes great pride in making changes!
