This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Yonkers Montessori Academy is the only Pre-Kindergarten to 12th grade Public Montessori School in Yonkers, New York. Our multi-age classrooms provide students the support they need to become active seekers of knowledge.
Our middle and high school students are role models and mentor our Pre-Kindergarten to 6th grade students using the Five Pillars of Montessori Learning.
My Project
Libraries are no longer just a place for students to go and check out books. Over the past decade they have transformed into technological hotspots with the intention of fostering creativity and critical thinking. The addition of 3D Pens will allow a seamless connection between technology and English Language Arts.
Students will have the opportunity to make their writing come to life by adding a visual component to the stories they have to share.
They will design and build an object to align with a writing assignment of their choice. Students will share their story and 3D project with the YMA community.
