Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our day begins with a 'good morning' and 'did you eat breakfast'? After which we begin our daily routine with stretches and warm-up exercises and finally the daily activity. It is always a physical activity that requires lots of energy and movement. A favorite quote--"One week without exercise makes one weak."

My students are a vibrant group of young people who I would love take more interest in health and exercise at this early age.

They are a mixture of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders with a myriad of personalities that are reflected during PE activities. I would describe my school as an enormous urban middle school that takes pride in everything we do.

My Project

The fridge will allow students bring their lunch on days that they do not want to eat cafeteria food, or on a game day when parents are unable to get food to them before a game. The calendar will allow dates to be available anytime they enter into the locker room and the electronic wall ticker will allow information to be given while in the locker room or a positive daily quote to encourage them.

Donations to this project will improve my students health because some will choose to bring a lunch and store it in the fridge.

Some students need to hear an encouraging word. Sometimes they hear it from their teachers, and this would be another format.
