Help me give my students materials for a creative writing summer school class. The writing resources are the most needed to help foster the love of writing at the elementary level!
Teaching the upper elementary kids is AMAZING! Their innate desire to learn is something that I strive to foster each year as an educator.
This summer, I have the opportunity to teach a Creative Writing class that will start from the basics - a sentence - to writing paragraphs of creative writing genius by the end of 4 weeks!
In order to do so (without breaking MY bank), I'm asking for help in gathering resources that will help make writing fun and engaging - for all students, no matter where they are in their writing journey!
We need lots of different types of paper - including the big chart paper - to collaborate with peers! We need tons of pencils... and snacks to keep our brains working on FULL!
This project is super special to me because I have been blessed with 17 years of growing my love for teaching writing. We have such a need to help our kids before they get to secondary schools to learn how to write. It is a skill that will last a lifetime! I want to - so bad - be part of the solution. One kid at a time!
