This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are special education students who love to work in our garden. They put forth so much effort and hard work. But sometimes it is overwhelming and hard to see the benefits when we have been working on digging for some time.
We are requesting a trencher to help make that process a little faster and easier.
With this item, my students will be able to learn hands-on. Some if not all of them need this extra help. They look forward to going out to the garden and seeing their progress. There is still much work to do but they are willing to do it. This will just make it a little easier. It will also last for years to come.
Students are stuck in classrooms all day long, sitting and listening to teachers. Sometimes we all just need a break. I want to give that to them by having this garden and they so look forward to working in it. Plus they see with their eyes the progress they make with it.
