Tree Study - October/November 2022

Help me give my students books and resources to enhance our study of trees.

My Project

This fall, students in my class will get the opportunity to explore trees in their community.

During the study, students will learn about the characteristics of trees, who lives in trees, what food comes from trees, how trees change and discovering how tree parts can be transformed.

One of the tree animals students will learn about are birds. Students will take part in a STEM challenge to build bird homes in our block center. In our toys and games center, students will be able to sort birds by color and size. After reading a Little Owl's Night, students will learn about other animals that live in the forest. They will also be able to retell the story in our small world center. As our study progresses, students will also get to experience camping in a forest in our dramatic play center.
