I am one of 5 fourth grade teachers at our small town Title I school. We have kids at our school from all walks of life, and we are getting more students every day. I have not met one student, yet, that is not wanting to learn every piece of information I can give them. This year I have the privilege of "team teaching" and I have about 40 darling children that come into my room every day.
When our students reach fourth and fifth grade, they reach the building that we call the "fort." Here is where they make the true transition from "little kids" to soon to be middle schoolers.
All my students enrich the lives of those around them and deserve the best that I can do for them.
They are all amazing children in their own way, and every time I have been funded they have been SO happy to open the new box of things for our classroom!
My Project
This assortment of goodies will give my students an immediate reward when passing a lesson or making a 100% on their AR tests. Not every child likes chocolate, WHO KNEW RIGHT??!!! So I polled my students and the treats they liked the best were skittles and lollipops. I decided to get some of both!
These special treats will be used daily for iReady or AR 100%!
The M&M and tootsie rolls are just a different kind of chocolate that I can share with them and the miniature candy bars would be for special lessons or activities that can be rewarded. My students will work harder for treats and this will be an added bonus.
