This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Over the years, I have noticed that simulations are students' favorite activities. In this unit, we examine changes brought about by the Industrial Revolution, such as the rise of the proletariat class. This activity will introduce my students to some economic theories that gained popular support amid industrial transformations in the late nineteenth century. In addition, the simulation will help my students make foundational comparisons between economic systems.
As Dr. Gholdy Muhammad says, we need justice-centered, intellectually engaging teaching guided by love and joy.
Simulation brings joy to my students! I am requesting some treats for my students to have when they have successfully completed the simulation each day.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
