This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project brings snacks to our classroom, to keep our minds focused on learning. My school has 90% of students who come from low-income/poverty levels. Hunger distracts students from learning, but having snacks to help curb their hunger helps them focus and do better in class.
These snacks are essential for many of my students who do not eat lunch and/or need a snack before and after school or as a reward.
We would be so grateful for the opportunity to provide them with a choice of snacks. A growling tummy does not allow for concentration and focus, so it's essential to have these snacks on hand. We would greatly appreciate the support in helping provide my students with tasty snacks. These snacks will help our success in the classroom immensely.
