This lesson also helps students build cultural awareness, which is essential as we frequently discuss life beyond high school and the diverse people and perspectives they will encounter in the world.\r\n\r\nThe paper and multi-color pens you provided are essential to this learning. Students use them daily for writing, editing, and revision activities as they compare and contrast New Year traditions in the United States with the Lunar New Year celebrated across Asia. Color-coding allows students to mark their thinking, identify mistakes, highlight evidence, and revise with purpose.
