This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Teenagers have a lot on their plates. Not only are they juggling academics but often they have rich family and peer dynamics that add to the stress of their day. My ultimate goal is to make my students as comfortable and safe as possible inside my classroom.

Last year, I started a "Treat Yo Self" corner stocked with self care essentials for those days my students may have had a chaotic morning and needed a little support.

This small act of kindness has had such a positive impact on my students. With your donation, I will be able to spread a little more joy and give my students what they need not only in an academic sense but in these self care items such as deodorant, chapstick, lotion, and hair products.
