My Project
I am always looking for innovative ways to incentivize good behavior and reward a job well done. Our student store and treasure box needs to be filled with current toys and incentives! I want my students to take more ownership in our rewards program. The gift cards will be used as a PBIS incentive (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports). Upon reaching the behavior goals set in class and in their behavior plans, students will use the gift cards to purchase items for our treasure box. These items could also include books and any school supplies of their choice.
Giving my students a choice for what they want or need as an incentive, will boost my Positive Behavior Support System to a new level!
Their purchases will be done in class with my supervision and with parent approval. I want to keep them engaged and make sure they do all their homework and complete their work on time. I believe with this program, they will begin to take more responsibility for their learning.
