My Students

Go to your television and turn on the news. What do you hear? Most of what you will hear in that time are the horrors of today's world. My students need to hear what good or interesting thing is happening in the world today.

Most of my students have seen so little of the world.

Many have never even left this town. Those who have usually only see maybe one other town. My students have so many questions about everything. They are such inquisitive creatures. They want to know the world around them as well as the world afar.

My Project

One way for my students to see the world afar would be to read about it. These TIME For Kids magazines will be able to gives my students an insight into other countries. They will be able to travel the world without ever leaving the classroom. They will be able to study social studies, sciences, new technologies, and so much more.

I want to open my students' eyes to the world, whether it is close by or far away.

I want to nurture that natural wonder they have in their hearts and minds. These magazines in my classroom will be used to encourage my students to travel the world and to love to read.
