I teach 100 seventh graders. They are at the age where learning isn't 'cool,' and they usually have to be coerced into learning. Once their interest is piqued, they never cease to amaze me with their ability to learn. They have the ability to become amazing writers and communicators.
My students want their education to be relevant and mirror real-life experiences.
I want to give them the opportunity to become they best versions of themselves. Together, we are a most excellent team.
We have spent the first half of the year watching and critiquing book trailers made by various sources. Book trailers are basically commercials for books, just like a movie trailer. The students have spent a lot of time processing what makes a good trailer and what does not. Now we are ready to create our own!
As my students now process this project, I want them to take their presentation on the road throughout our school.
This requested flat screen TV and cart will allow us to show our book trailers to other classes to entice them to read our books. We need a way to display our book trailers without having to rely on our hosts for a projector.
