This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students are smart and curious. They are little mathematicians and scientists, artists and writers. Many of our students live their lives within a few block radius. They might visit family in another town or take a day trip to the city, but they don't have many opportunities to explore beyond the city limits of our little town.
Virtual reality has some amazing educational platforms that allow students to take a trip around the world, into space, or even back in time.
They can tour Athens, visit the Anne Frank house, ride on a Gondola in Venice or navigate through Zion National Park. It would be amazing to watch our students explore our universe through virtual reality.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
