My Students
Middle schoolers are often characterized as troublemakers. This could not be further from the truth when I think about my students. They are hard working, adventurous and their hearts are pure. They seek to understand but also to be understood.
My students have a thirst for knowledge, but funds keep my students from experiencing the joys of education to the fullest.
I would love to be able to peak their interest by having better technology and new and exciting strategies to engage them in the learning process.
My Project
Coming from a small rural district, many of my students, have never traveled outside of their county. Many of my students have never been to a mall, or to a ¨big city.¨ Many of my students have big dreams to travel and to see the world; unfortunately, they do not have the funds to make this happen. They want to not just learn about the world from our lessons and textbooks but to experience it first hand.
Google Cardboard VR glasses would allow my students to see the world.
These glasses would open a world of possibilities for my students who may not get the chance to travel or see these places otherwise.
