My Students

The English Language Arts classroom is a place for learning, exploring, and developing skills. It is a place where students can explore different cultures and ideas and fine tune English skills to use out in the world. Students need various mediums to learn and explore the many opportunities that the English classroom can provide.

Literature and Language Arts opens a whole new world for students.

Words and stories gives students the freedom to explore new topics and have experiences that they normally would not have. Students need access to materials to be able to explore the world. These materials can change these students' lives.

Our school is a Title I school in a high poverty area with a diverse population. Our students do not have many experiences outside of our small town. I want to give students the opportunities to explore the outside world, and beyond, through Language Arts and Literature.

My Project

By giving to this project, you are giving students the ability and oppurtunty to practice reading skills in an engaging way. Our students do not have a love for reading yet because many are not fluent. They need more books that interest them so they can practice reading.

Reading gives students the opportunity to travel the world and have adventures.

Reading allows students to experience emotions, circumstances, cultures, and many other things without leaving the comfort of their schools and homes.

Our school is a Title I school in a rural community. Most of our supplies are older and not up-to-date. This project will help our school get more books that are newer that students will want to read.
